The service will be held at Holy Trinity, Church Road, Bembridge, Isle of Wight, PO35 5NA.

Wedding & Reception Parking:

There is plenty of free parking around the church, however if you are unable to find a space, you can try Meadow Drive which is a 5 minute walk from service.

Firstly, thank you for making the effort to travel across the seas for our wedding, as people who fly a lot we recognize how much time it takes! If there's anything we can do to assist your travel, please reach out to us and we'll do the best we can.

From the states, you will be flying to London Heathrow. From there, you have three options,

a) Take a coach provided by National Express for 30 minutes to Woking, and then taking a train provided by South Western Railway to Portsmouth Harbour

b) Take the Elizabeth line from Heathrow to Farringdon, and then change to a Thameslink service to Brighton, and then link up with a friend from the area and travel with them.

c) If you feel comfortable driving and can drive in the UK, a rental car is another option.

Without Car:

If you are using public transport to get to the Isle of Wight, you will want to get a train to "Portsmouth Harbour" (Different from Portsmouth and South-sea). From there, you can either use The Wightlink catamaran service which is connected to the station. Or take a short walk to the Hovercraft service (Faster but slightly more expensive).

Once on the island, You can either:

a) Use a taxi service to get to Bembridge where the service will be taking place

b) Get the Number 8 bus from the Land End of Ryde Pier (Stand A), which usually leaves at 40 minutes past the hour, and costs £2.

With Car:

(Below are general details, followed by a way to get a discount)

Car ferries go from Portsmouth or Southampton.

For Portsmouth:

Portsmouth Car Ferry Terminal PO1 2LA.

The ferry comes into Fishbourne 40 minutes later, and from there you are a 30 minute drive from Bembridge. Car Parking exists around the church for free.

For Southampton:

Red Funnel Terminal 1, Dock Gate 7, Town Quay Road, Southampton, S014 2AR.

Which arrives in Cowes 1 hour later, which is then a 40 minute drive from bembridge.

Check in for ferries is between 1 hour and latest 30 minutes before departure time. Cost is per car no matter how many passengers you have. Cost varies as to time of day (With evenings being cheaper and early mornings more expensive in August unfortunately). The earlier you book, the lower the price will be.

Our wedding caterer is able to offer discounts for those travelling to the island via car. At the moment they are £85 return for a car and passengers (Usually it is £90 each way in August), however we've been told from January this will increase. So booking ahead of time is better.
